What makes us different from all other photographers?

When you choose Life is Beautiful Photography you have the comfort of knowing that your photographic experience will be to the highest professional level; you can trust us and know that you will have guaranteed beautiful results.  We believe in hand made over mass produced, quality over quantity, craftsmanship over cost effective. The world is filled with wonder and we believe in the importance of capturing it. We do not believe in hidden costs or a pushy sales environment.  We sell memories, laughs and create magic moments that last a lifetime – we are after all, the storytellers of life!


What areas do you cover?

As we are mobile photographers we have the facility to photograph anywhere in the UK, we are based in Kesgrave, Ipswich in Suffolk. The travel costs within 25 miles of IP5 are included in all shoots, however outside of this area we charge 49p per mile.  


What days can we book a shoot?

We are open 7 days a week – Monday to Sunday. Sessions start at 9am and the last session starts at 4pm (excluding newborns).  All we need is around 6 foot space to bring our studio to you!


If I am having a newborn session, when should I book in, shall I wait till the baby arrives?

No do not wait as we get booked up very fast. Due dates are not always accurate, so give us a call and we can provisionally book a slot normally about 2 weeks after your due date, then we will contact you again a few days before the shoot once your new bundle of joy has arrived and confirm the appointment. If baby is early, we will try our hardest to rearrange your shoot to accommodate.


What to Expect When You’re Expecting Us

The diary of a newborn and baby photographer is a complicated place! Nobody told your baby that they are expected to turn up for their portrait session and while some can’t wait to get here, some are fashionably late. This makes our diary a wonderfully fluid place!

When you first book your session you will be required to pay the booking fee to reserve your place in our diary. As a guide, we usually book newborn sessions two weeks after your due date – just in case baby arrives late and so when baby does arrive this also gives you time to settle back in at home. If baby is early, please let us know as soon as possible so we can capture those all important newborn curls.

We take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so that we can ensure we can fit everybody in and work around midwife and health visitor appointments once baby is here, so please do not wait to secure your session.

Your portrait session will take place in the comfort of your home, so no need to worry about coming out to a studio.   We want you and your baby to feel relaxed and comfortable so you are able to feed on demand and put your feet up – your home is the perfect place!

So that we can capture your baby perfectly while they are still so brand new, for most of the session your baby will be in their birthday suit. Newborn clothes never fit correctly so we don’t get to see all those beautiful details that say ‘hey I’m brand new!’ We have a vast amount of props and accessories for you to choose from and we tailor to each session.

One of the most common things is your baby is guaranteed to poop and/or pee on props, blankets, perhaps even us or you! This is just part for the course, something we are used to dealing with on a daily basis and something we allow for. All of our blankets and props are washed after each session and we bring plenty of cloths and towels with us.

Your newborn portrait session can take up to 4 hours and the reason for this is your newborn will need feeding, cuddles and cleaning throughout the session which is baby led rather than photographer led!


How many photographers do we have on a shoot?

Georgina is our main photographer – (the owner of Life Is Beautiful) and who photographs the majority of the sessions. With our Wedding Photography, you will also have a second photographer – Miro – He is also the partner of Georgina (and our I.T guy!)


What happens if I need to rearrange the shoot?

We understand that everyone gets unwell at times (even us photographers do!!) so we would want you to look and feel your best when having your images taken. We do not offer refunds, but if you let us know before your shoot date, we will rearrange your session at a time and date that suits you, with no cancellation fees.


What edits do you do?

We look at each image as an individual frame, retouching it to perfection and give you the choice of both colour and black and white for your collection.  We also provide digital newborn artwork – please message us for more information.


When can I aspect the images to be available to view?

Our turn around time for editing your beautiful images is around 1 week – we do upload a sneak preview on our Facebook site as we are editing them, please feel free to tag and share. Orders will take around 2 weeks for completion.


How long does my gallery stay online for?

We understand that life goes extremely fast and by the time you realize, a week has gone by and you haven’t bought your images yet.  Don’t worry!! Our online service for purchasing your photos stays up for 2 weeks after we send you the password – we will then send you a small reminder once the end date is near and then it will be taken down.


Can I share the online gallery password with friends and family?

Yes you can! The online gallery is there for you to relax and enjoy looking at your images in the comfort of your own home – share the password with friends and family and then they can view your wonderful images in their own time.


What payment options do you have?

We accept cash, cheque (made payable to Miss G Street) BACS, and also via your online gallery with PayPal.   You do not need a PayPal account to buy your images. We cannot accept cards over the phone, only as chip and pin.


Do you supply frames?

Yes – We supply a wonderful new range of Fine Art frames – details are on the product price list!



Do you supply digital files?

Yes two of our products are digitals.  Our digital file package, which you can also have prints at no extra cost and also our digital file and album package.  Please see our Product Prices for more information.


Do we get any discounts?

Yes! If you book in with us more than once, you receive 10% off your 2nd shoot price. If you recommend anyone to us – they also get a 10% off shoot price too. We do not give discounts on any products.


If we have purchased a session do we receive anything free with the shoot?

Your session fee does not include any Prints/Digital or Wall Art.  The session fee covers our time taken, use of props and time to retouch your beautiful portraits to perfection!  We do not believe in pressure selling and if you would like to purchase any products, this can all be done separately after your session – please see our ‘Product Prices’ for more information.


If we have won a competition/raffle do we receive anything free with the shoot?

We value our customers and with competition winners, you win the shoot and our time taken to capture your images. We hope that you fall in love with the photos and if you do wish to purchase anything, then you can via the online gallery.
